Územná identita obyvateľov slovensko-rakúskeho pohraničia v okolí Bratislavy

Abstrakt

The paper deals with the territorial identity of the inhabitants of selected municipalities of the Slovak-Austrian border in the vicinity of the capital of Slovakia. Its aim is to present the results of field research conducted in 2019 using a questionnaire and based on it to analyze the territorial identity of the population living in the border region of Bratislava (its Slovak and Austrian part). The benefit is the study of the identity of the population with the territory, the knowledge of which can lead to more effective cross-border cooperation and increased mutual tolerance between the inhabitants of two states, between which there is a significant migration of inhabitants. The analysis also revealed infringers of territorial identity in the area in question, including suburbanisation and migration.
