The Spatial Concentration of the Foreign Policy of the Slovak Republic in the Time Period of 1993 – 2018

Abstrakt


The aim of this paper is the analysis the spatial concentration of the foreign policy of the Slovak Republic on the basis of international bilateral treaties during 1993 – 2018 time period. We described the development of the amount of signed bilateral treaties in this time period and by the means of these treaties, we allocated the focus of interest concerning Slovak foreign policy in the world. In this paper we also compare the individual governing eras distinguished by parties embodying major political presence and influence. We identify geographical and content trends of bilateral treaties of the Slovak Republic indicating interests of the foreign policy. They are then compared to the governmental standing as well as scholarly research from field experts of the respective era.
