Čínska diaspóra v krajinách juhovýchodnej Ázie

Abstrakt

Príspevok sa zaoberá geografickou analýzou čínskej diaspóry v juhovýchodnej Ázii. Táto analýza vychádza z opisu historicko-geografického vývoja čínskych menšín v krajinách juhovýchodnej Ázie a následne na báze štatistických ukazovateľov vyhodnocuje aktuálny stav a charakter čínskej diaspóry vo vybraných krajinách sledovaného územia so zameraním na špecifiká a súčasné postavenie čínskych menšín v krajinách juhovýchodnej Ázie ako dôsledku politík prijatých voči tomuto etniku, ale aj z pohľadu vývoja vzťahov s ostatným obyvateľstvom tejto časti Ázie.

The Chinese diaspora in countries of Southeast Asia
The paper deals with geographic analysis of the Chinese diaspora in Southeast Asia. The analysis is based firstly on a description of the historical–geographical development of Chinese minorities in the countries of Southeast Asia. Subsequently, on the basis of statistical indicators it assesses the current status and character of the Chinese diaspora in selected countries of the monitored area with focus on the various specifics and current position of the Chinese minority group in the countries of Southeast Asia as a result of the policies adopted towards this ethnic group as well as from the point of the development of relations with the other inhabitants of this part of Asia. The main aim of the paper is to point out the growing importance in the context of changing political and economic relations both in the world and in south-east Asia itself.
