Abstrakt

The presented article deals with a brief political and geographical characteristics of one of the smallest and one of the most developed country in Africa, according to some selected indicators. It is a relatively unknown country for Slovakia (also for other countries), but its "story" deserves attention. Equatorial Guinea was a poor country that suffered from a despotic dictatorship, since its declaration of independence from Spain, but its situation swift changed after the "oil boom" in the late 20th century.
